Destination Northern Ontario

This regional tourism organization initially ordered a five episode first season to entice southern Ontarians to buy a cottage resort in the north, and prevent the region's accommodations inventory from shrinking. Season 2 pivoted to a broader theme of business basics for tourism business operators.

"Exceptional quality, commitment and excellence in delivering us a product that far exceeded my wildest expectations. For a newbie like me to the podcasting world, the whole process was so easy."

Tourism Excellence North

For years, this division of Destination Northern Ontario had been wanting to create a podcast. The goal was to publish casual conversations as an accessible entry point for busy tourism businesses and organizations to discover TEN and their extensive catalogue of resources. Storied Places helped them get the podcast off the ground and produce 10 episodes at a professional level.

Trillium Network for Advanced Manufacturing

This non-profit organization came to Storied Places Media with a dormant podcast that they wanted to revive as a key part of their content-driven communications strategy. We helped them re-launch with new brand assets, elevated audio production value, and a refined promotion strategy that included a suite of marketing materials including video clips and social media messages.

York Link

York Link (part of York Region Economic Development), in partnership with the Trillium Network for Advanced Manufacturing, wanted to create a video podcast series to help Ontario manufacturers navigate the challenges and opportunities brought by Canada's changing relationship with the United States. The result was The Tariff Impact, which is hosted on York Link's YouTube channel.

Cape Breton Partnership

This economic development organization initially ordered five episodes to highlight Unama'ki-Cape Breton's newfound economic momentum. The series challenges assumptions about the island’s economy through in-depth interviews with local changemakers, going beyond the headlines to reveal the untapped potential for investors and entrepreneurs, and offer a preview of the island’s coming transformation.

"Michelle's thorough approach and deep understanding of economic development enables her to navigate the intricacies of the subject matter, the nuances of the communities we serve, and ensures she tells the story in a compelling and effective manner for the target audience."

Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc

This municipality initially ordered three episodes to highlight why the community is a place where people and businesses grow deep roots. In the first and second episodes, small business owners and large manufacturers revealed why they keep investing in Strathroy-Caradoc. The third episode showcased the community's residential amenities. The municipality followed up with three more episodes (and counting).

"Economic development is essential to Strathroy-Caradoc’s growth, and using podcasts to share our story is both unique and effective."
